The inferno of the living is not something that will be; it is what is already here, the inferno where we live every day, that we formed by allowing the ephemeral to become essential.

The inferno we live in is destroying our world by gradually and silently penetrating our society.

Shameless flashiness, lack of self-consciousness and the domination of the individual are the consequences of its realization.

There are two ways to escape the inferno. The first is to accept it and become such a part of it that you can no longer see it. The second is more difficult: learn to recognize its deepest motives and restore the balance between the universal and the individual.

The artist must spend himself with warmth, glamour and bold curiosity to rediscover the enthusiastic fervor of the primordial elements.

Once the awareness of the inferno of our times has been reached, the artist cannot refrain from reacting to it.

Art consists in the conception before anything else and there is no hierarchy in the arts.

Technique is only a tool, humbly at the service of the conception.

The essential elements of our movement will be courage, audacity and revolt.

Art must be a violent assault on the forces of the inferno, to force them to bow before man as they once did.
